Another retro car photo - 1952 Buick interior. Comments always appreciated.

How great is that!!! Nothing digital , no touch screen nonsense , everything labelled clearly and understandably . You can adjust everything without taking your eyes off the road . When I got my last car (in 2014) I spent 45 minutes with someone from the dealership going over how everything worked . Still had to spend time with the manual when I got home . So much for progress in ergonomics .

Apologies for the curmudgeonly rant!!

Thanks guys. Yes, Toronto is growing at an exponential rate and it's happening vertically. People are now living in condominiums more than 70 storeys above ground. Great views I'm sure but I like to look out my window and see birds sitting in the tree in the backyard.

Fireworks from Canada Day indeed...

Agree about having birds in your back garden.

Lovely fireworks as expected.

Yes, everything went downhill when they started installing 8-track in cars...:) but seriously, the '50s and '60s could be regarded as the pinnacle of automotive design with many American classics. Chrome extravaganza rules! Nothing wrong with being one of the Grumpy Old Men group in which I include myself.

nice .... I love the classic car interiors, they differ so much between car models and have color and character missing from the modern cars. Can you repost this shot in color to see the original color scheme?

Certainly. I'll put it up on Flickr and try to do a message to you. If that doesn't work, it's a pretty nondescript pale blue.

I'm suprised you didn't use a faster shutter to freeze the action! :p

Had some fog roll in at around 3am last Thursday night/Friday morning. Liked the effect from the orange street lights. Was up shooting the night sky (which was fairly clear) when the clouds and fog rolled in.

Second star on the right....
One of several docks in Annapolis, Maryland, "America's Sailing Capital". Nothing like docking your boat and stepping into one of the numerous restaurants in the area for dinner. That would not be us though, we don't own a boat. Plenty of people around these parts do though.

BTW, all of the land across the river (including the domed building to the left) is the campus of the U.S. Naval Academy.

Been there a few times and love being around the harbor. Nice shot!
