I imagined five years 'on the road', but now, after three years, I can't see myself stopping. I love it! :)

We got new nextdoor neighbours. They own a Campervan/motorhome rental company here in Scotland so my plan to try out the VW experience just stepped up a notch! I hope I enjoy it as much as you are.

Careful what you wish for. I travel with wife,2 teenagers and an axe.
Where about in Scotland do you live?

No problem. Wife - got one, Axe - got dogs, teenagers - was one.

As far north as you can go - well nearly. You need to live in the lighthouse to be truly that far north but the same village.

Dunnet

Yes I know Dunnet??

Mate Glasgow doesnt get light in wi.........from late October to February!

The challenge is that is doesnt get dark in the week of summer

I'm now super intrigued as to what constitutes this 'week' of Scottish summer? Above 15c? No rain?

Great shot. The person at the base gives it a great sense of scale.

I challenge anyone to say how this shot could be improved. Seriously epic, congrats!

Wow what a great shot, as others had said the inclusion of the silhouette gives an epic sense of scale, especially as you can't see the edges of the waterfall!

Yep, to agree with the others, an incredible shot. A scenario only nature could create. Amazing example of the force of nature. Just jaw droppingly good.

This is outstanding. Well done.

Thanks very much everyone...much appreciated.

I have to say it's hard to go too far wrong in such a picturesque place as Iceland.

I can't believe it's been 3 years already but great to hear that Doylem. It's always nice to take a chance, push yourself a bit and have it work out well.

Well, I'm earning a living from writing and photography (stock images mostly), and I'm fascinated by being in a different place every night. Tonight I'm in Tewkesbury, in the rain, but, hell, underneath these clothes, my skin is entirely waterproof. I can't recommend the nomadic life; I can only say that it suits me...

I'd be tempted to crop the bottom third of the pic... so the eye goes straight to the dog (and isn't distracted by the light patch in the foreground)...

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate I broke the rules by posting another, but which do you prefer? I think I went past 1:1 on the tighter crop - it was taken on my 85 prime from about 15m away so it's already heavily cropped!
