Nice picture but you need to post the picture properly. The link to Instagram isnt working right now to pull it into the page here.

Is it? I don't have these pictures on my device. So I just copy from instagram. Oh well, guess no more pictures for me then. ‍♂️

Sorry matey. You can still post here but people are not fans of clicking arbitrary links in posts. We need to practice safe browsing. :)

Been looking round and there is no Instagram embedding code enabled in this site. Cant even post it as media I am afraid.

I typically use Flickr for my images to post in here, then I can share from there INTO instagram. The format for dropping an image into here from Flickr from a mobile device is:

Code:
[url={link to image}][img]{link to image}[/img][/url]
[doublepost=1500550122][/doublepost]
View attachment 709293 SEL90M28G macros @ local park

So hang on... werent you talking about getting the QX100 (hopefully not muddled mind confusing you for someone else) so you didnt have to carry two devices? then you strap a beer can onto it? :)

or did you take this with something else?

No, please don't stop posting. There will be a way around this ;)

Cheers :)

Hugh

Thanks guys. I'll try that. Haven't used Flickr in years since yahoo bought them and eventually got hacked. But I'll see if I do have some of the pictures around. Cheers.

Gupshill Manor, Tewkesbury, a pub dating back to 1471…

I've really been enjoying your photos from Tewkesbury. I visited the battlefield and the museum at the abbey (?) when we lived in England in the late 90's, but don't remember much of the town or surrounding countryside. Are all the flags on the town shots coats of arms from participants of the battle? It adds a lot of color to the town.

also clunky way is to save to your device from instagram and attach directly to the post as a file remembering to tap full image not thumbnail. then delete the saved copy from your device.

Nice... I took a look at your flickr page and that B&W shot of the Grain Tower is really eye catching, the leading lines in the B&W version are much stronger than the color version.
Thank you very much. The B&W shot of Grain Tower is just under 2 minutes long exposure but the clouds were too dense to show any movement. My treatment in pp was to go darker and with higher contrast to emulate one of my friends' style (he's really good).

The colour version was a 3 shot bracket and HDR processed.

They were also taken with different lenses.

The Timber Rocks shot submitted today is of what remains of the jetty for Grain Tower.

Cheers :)

Most of the photography I get to do these days are pictures of my wife's cards and stuff for her blog. Anyway managed to steal this one of her whilst she was setting up, and seeing as I got away with posting that other one of her I thought I'd chance my arm!

Fantastic image. Such a lovely low key picture that speaks volumes.

Yeah, don't be discouraged by that. We'd love to see your pics! But Phishing scams are sadly a thing here.

I wonder if this is a feature that we can ask the Admins about? I'd really like to have it as well. Getting images to Flickr isn't always convenient.

I just upload from my computer. Any Instagram images get synced via Dropbox and automagically appear on my computer for me.

Yep. I feel your frustration mate. Wish I could get some of Daughter 1 but she has decided to scream when i point camera at her now. :)
Yup that's what I used to get from my daughter too...
Now I'd be happy just to see how she's changed after 18 months.

Phishing scams? I've not had any from here. Care to elaborate?
