Yup that's what I used to get from my daughter too...
Now I'd be happy just to see how she's changed after 18 months.

Phishing scams? I've not had any from here. Care to elaborate?

We have had some scams before. People posting a link, we click it and ut gies off to some strange site punting Viagra or some such nonesense.

Fair enough. I had an email from Nigeria yesterday in my gmail spam telling me I was going to receive a share of $1.2 million due to the number of Nigerian scams in the past.

I just need to send them my name, DOB, address, mothers maiden name and bank account details!

Is anybody that naive?

Unfortunately, yes, yes they are still that stupid.

So hang on... werent you talking about getting the QX100 (hopefully not muddled mind confusing you for someone else) so you didnt have to carry two devices? then you strap a beer can onto it? :)

or did you take this with something else?

For now it's QX1 APS-C and I'm quite happy with it.

I've really been enjoying your photos from Tewkesbury. I visited the battlefield and the museum at the abbey (?) when we lived in England in the late 90's, but don't remember much of the town or surrounding countryside. Are all the flags on the town shots coats of arms from participants of the battle? It adds a lot of color to the town.

Thanks. It was the first time I'd visited Tewkesbury (a friend had rhapsodised about the abbey).

Horse and trap at Sledmere House, East Yorkshire...

Scammers trying to get people to click on links that take them to bad and fraudulent websites? You've never seen that here? Really? I can't give you a specific example but I've seen it. Not so much in this sub-forum but some of the other ones.

TBH I spend a good amount of time either in this section or the privates.
I'm unlikely to click on a link from a member I don't know.

Yep. I feel your frustration mate. Wish I could get some of Daughter 1 but she has decided to scream when i point camera at her now. :)

I was taking photos of my friends 3 year old daughter playing around with my 2 year old son and she just stopped whenever the camera was near her or pointing at her - especially the 50-140 f2.8. With the flippy screen tilted up and the Electronic shutter activated on my X-T2, I held it as waist height looking down as if I was fiddling with the camera settings. Click, click, click and she was none the wiser. When I was further away I went back to mechanical shutter, CH on boost mode for 11fps to freeze faster motion. I got some absolute belters using this method for her parents who are good friends of ours. If your camera has a flippy screen - try it, you'll be surprised.
Another tip, avoid eye contact because she'll know you are up to something. Occasionally point the camera away or up at the sky in between shots.

Good tips but they get a bit wiser as they grow up!

Good point!
Can't be that hard to embed. Even I can do it!

The problem is Instagram. This forum doesn't have the ability to embed photos & posts from there. I've sent a message to the Admins to see f this is a feature they can turn on. I'd really like it as well. I would actually like to delete my Flickr account and be done with Yahoo altogether.

I'm not on Instagram. I only joined Flickr to post on here.

This is my technique too with my Sony. Unfortunately..... I was using a Leica M... no silent shutter, no tilty screen and 1 fps..... she knows when I am working it... Even zone focused she spots me! :)
