I'm sure there's places in that building where you could hide a young whipper snapper like you and nobody would ever find them - why don't you come with me next time I go? :p

Cheers :)

Hugh
I'd love to! Sadly I've got to work until I'm 68 (went up another year this week!) so sadly I'll be back at work Monday :(

Sorry to hear that. The only consolation is that if you can build up enough pension you could retire early like I have, but even that can be down to lucky circumstances.

Cheers :)

Not likely! All my money is tied up in future camera purchases ;)

Ah no! Dont say that!
It will change your life! If only Mrs Ken would let you get one!
I'd put your foot down mate :D

An intimate portrait of a Brolga. I really like the elegant curves of the neck in this one.

Sorry, but this shot just says ‘over-processed’ to me… and stops me from seeing the content of the image…
That's OK; everyone is entitled to their likes and dislikes. I'm still learning and post processing is probably one of my weaker areas of photography.

Cheers :)

I remember there used to be a thread on another forum, kinda like the weekly photo contest here..

The winner would post up a preview and a link to a raw file (e.g. via drop box)...
Participants would have a go at post processing it and describe the steps they took.
At the end of the week the OP would post their version up and decide a winner
The winner would then post up a new preview and a link to a new raw and the process started again...

It was a great way to learn new techniques and almost anyone who took part was happy to describe their process in more detail, if you needed it.

Another from cadiz for me...

Our state government has blown mountains of money recently creating a brand new health precinct with cutting edge facilities, these are those buildings. A mix of training, research and health services including our new central hospital (the green and white building) which is reported to be the most expensive building in the world (including all the latest equipment)! Paid for by the taxpayers, well not actually paid for, we borrowed (up to the eyeballs) to get the projects rolling...
