Am I reading that exif wrong, or is that Sony packing an aperture of 1.0? It's got great separation :)

Ah, no, that is because I was using an adapted Leica 90mm Summarit-m on it. I shot this open at f2.5. I love that lens on the Sony.

I have another version where I have slowed the shutter slightly to smooth the water. It is on my flickr. Interested in views of smoother water or this more textured view - anyone prefer one to the other?

It is a lovely lens to shoot on the Sony as I can zoom in on the EVF to nail focus. The patch on the M9 makes it a little more difficult but I have a x1.25 magnifier attached and that helps. Between the grip and the magnifier it is starting to look a bit Franken-9 ...

The lens is a cracker though. You can get the slightly faster newer f2.4 but I love this one.

My M lens load out is currently as follows:- (not showing off, just helping you with your planning)

Voigtlander 15mm F4.5 Super Heliar version III (love this lens)
Leica Elmarit-M 28mm f2.8 (razor sharp, almost pancake sized)
Leica Summilux-M 35mm f1.4 pre FLE (gorgeous and I dont really notice the focus shift in real wold usage)
Leica Summilux-M 50mm f1.4 asph. (no words needed for this one. You have one so you no doubt get it)
Leica Summarit-M 90mm f2.5 (Already discussed)

Most of the time the 50 lux is on the 9 and the 35 is on the MM.

My dealer has a really good price on one that is really tempting me, torn between a new one of those or maybe used 90 cron (pre asph)...

Also I could do with an UWA, again torn between 18 or 21mm everyone raves about the 21 SEM, it's smaller, takes normal filters and is about a good a lens as you can get apparently.... but there is just something about the 18mm shots that tug on the heart strings...

...in reality I will be lucky to get another lens this year, so i will probably have to admire these from afar...There is a limit to the patience of Mrs Drift on these things...and she is wise to my old rouse of..... '''oh this old lens...I've had it for ages...I'm surprised you don't remember me using it before....)

If you can get a cron for good money, that is the one but it is bigger than the summarit obviously. The Summarit is about the size of a can of red bull.

The Voigtlander is £550 new so not a bank breaker and the version 3 doesnt suffer the nasty colour casts of the predecessors. Worth a look...

lovely collection!!!

I have the 35 cron and the 50 lux, the lux is stellar......i am like a kid in the candy shop with it! my planning is....

18mm TBC maybe the zeiss or leica Sem
35 cron
50 lux
90 TBC summarit or cron (probably pre asph)

I know the 21 sem probably makes more sense in that set up...but my heart says 18mm

My wallet is running for cover!

Careful on the 18 and 21 as they colour cast on the 9 sensor, rear nodal point too close to sensor. fine on film, not great on digital. Not sure about the M10 sensor.

I think I should have got the 35 cron instead of summilux as I dont use it so often. I think the Zeiss 25mm is nice. If 18 is floating your boat, seriously consider the Voigtlander as it is cheap compared to the Leicas and is very nice. It takes 58mm filters too.

Yes the 50 lux is just unbeatable isnt it? this is exciting, keep us updated on it as you are stellar so far with your M10...

You employ the same tactics as I do... my tricks are failing of late too!

Mrs Kenoh is very tuned into my language usage regards lenses... and sees right through me
