I finally decided to cut back my lavender today but the bees aren't too happy with me. They are holding the last few stalks hostage from me.

Good job. Ours is sadly finished for the year. Our lavender is still holding its bloom and I managed to get a few shots. Those bees are fast.

Hey pals! Leaving Scotland today and I am super sad. I'll have more to share later. But here's a little long exposure I got yesterday before the midges came for me. haha.

Went to Culzean Castle near Ayr yesterday. Last time we were there it was a fun filled day of whining daughters and ill preparedness for the heat. Yesterday was the opposite. The girls were into it, we had supplies in a picnic and changes of clothes. So a great day out. We also found the beach this time and the girls had a blast while I managed to get some snaps. I say snaps as despite a great day I wasnt really feeling the camera mojo.
Found this funky looking post in the sand, about 8/9 feet tall with some seaweed on it and thought it looked cool. Hope you like it.

I'll get Mrs AFB on it.If you cut it back, you will likely get a second (although smaller) bloom before fall.
