I watched this turtle come up from the depths of the lake, have a look around, look at me to see if I had anything for him, and then swim away.
Another from Wales day trip then. Lee filters and a guy not really knowing what he is doing meant a lot of my images are deleted.

Playing with water-droplets on the barren fruit trees in the backyard. I used a crop sensor DSLR to get extra reach, and still needed a 43mm of extension tubes. It's not too bad considering it's handheld and I'm playing with about 0.2mm of focal plane in the droplet. I might get the tripod out and play with it properly later on.
Joining in on the Photo of the Day for the first time in a long, long time! Just got a new camera -- Sony RX100 M6 -- and have been spending time getting to know it and putting it through its paces the last couple of days.

Thanks! It has been several years since I last posted a POTD here..... Probably won't be a regular but I'm hoping that this might get my creative juices stirring a bit again.
