So….I finally hoped on the mirrorless train and graabbed a Canon R for my birthday last week. I originally wanted the R5, but for my needs the R is fine and I’m starting to really enjoy using it And my 5D MKIV is getting jealous, lol

A visitor (adult black bear) one morning to the bbq pit & garbage container area out front of our cabin, Manning Park Resort, BC, a week+ ago. Photo taken from outside our cabin. Sorry, couldn't get a better & closer photo with my iPad Mini, but could't / didn't attempt to get physically closer!! Exiciting event, and was repeated with different (adult & younger) bears three times that day. Our first view of bears there in many trips to the area, and we got three different, and separate viewings in the one day!!
Wild low bush cranberry, or maybe high bush cranberry (I don't know the differences between the two) in the backyard. The berries will soon be ripe and change to a crimson red color:

I like this. Simple yet effective composition. I also like what you did with it post regarding the noise in the background (I’m assuming it was intentional since I’m not seeing it on the cherry
). Adds some texture that I think would be pleasing on a printed version of the pic. OTOH, could just be unintentional noise. But I like it.

Thank you for the nice comments about my photo. The sort of noise in the background is intentional, but instead of being digital noise, it is a paint texture effect. And you are correct in that I do like the texture effect, on printed images. I usually save an original TIFF image without the oil paint effect, but if the image has a background of smooth DOF or just light colors, then I save a second TIFF with a paint texture added to it, and use this one for printing.I like this. Good morning. Cloudy, might be some rain today. Nice for a change. The summer heat in Stockholm has been in pair with the warm summer of 2018 in these hoods. 20℃/68℉ at 10 AM. Might rise a degree or two during the day.
Well, the picture of the day it was yes, not just me mumbling about the weather around here.
I saw the stripes, and an unaware (of me) fellow citizen hanging around, casually smoking, perhaps waiting for someone important in his life, or a dealer, or just relaxing after a long walk in the city.
Who knows.
Taken approx. 400 ft away with my 600mm f/4.
