Yesterday was hummingbird day in my garden 😉 , so many!
My girls sneak up, then strike fast as a praying mantis. They’ll put them in a bug catcher, and might have 20 or more after awhile.
Nope, I was less than a foot away. They are actually quite docile and their bite is no worse than a bee sting for humans. Plus he went into freeze mode the moment he felt me.

Matlacha FL USA - Drawbridge onto the island. Since retirement it's afforded me endless time to just wait for it. Apps like PhotoPills sure help with being in the right spot at the right time. Can someone explain while the image didn't upload into the body of the thread? Thanks Jon
