.. this practice was available in Puerto Vallarta during our stays ... never got to talking to anyone who actually tried it, but have read some good & bad reviews of results. It was 'no thanks' for us. On a personal note: I did enjoy some light "nibbles" of my feet much more naturally when wading amongst fishes in rocky-beach tidepools in Guadeloupe on a number of occasions. :)
It was a no thanks for me as well :)

It was here too, but it closed after a few months. Don't remember seeing anyone in as I went past.

Eastern Dobsonfly, Corydalus cornutus
The eastern dobsonfly, Corydalus cornutus, is a large insect in the Corydalidae family. The adult dobsonfly is a large insect up to 140 millimetres long with a wingspan of up to 125 millimetres. It is found in eastern North America in regions with fast-flowing streams where its aquatic larvae develop. These are known as hellgrammites and are among the top invertebrate predators in the streams in which they live. They are used by anglers as bait.

Good grief! I looked that up and as I thought it's a North American native. Another beastie of summer.
They are big too...5.5 inches (140 millimetres) in length
I edited the original post and added some info.

I managed to snag a dropped Nikon D7200 for only £120, and after a bit of glue and filler it works perfectly.
Couple that with the dropped and repaired Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens that cost me £160 and I have a great combination.
All I need to add in is some talent ;)

Nikon D7200, 70-200mm, 1/30 @ f/2.8, ISO 1000

Cheers :)

Looks like the dog dropped in for a nap

Osprey - Pandion haliaetus
  • Ospreys are unusual among hawks in possessing a reversible outer toe that allows them to grasp with two toes in front and two behind. Barbed pads on the soles of the birds' feet help them grip slippery fish. When flying with prey, an Osprey lines up its catch head first for less wind resistance.
