I normally enjoy a stay at the Borrego Palm Campground.

Couldn't retrieve actual 'Reserved Campsites' on the ca.gov website, so I just had to get my f-flops on the ground!

(Came-from Oceanside), and traveled East on Montezuma Valley Rd. from the Henshaw depression; did the twisty-windy down from the Anza plateau, and into the Borrego Desert.

I drove-in to see if spots were open; but--most-importantly--I needed to decide if 45C was a Environment that I could occupy.

Unfortunately, it was not.

So, I drove-back-up 300m+ in elevation (it was about 20km-linear) and into to Culp Valley Campground where I stayed the Night.

There is 5-bar 5G in the Borrego Springs Valley, but no-signal up on the ridge.

It was a good choice.

My only regret was not waking earlier, that I could have experienced pre-sunrise.
I love to see stories or information with photos. Makes it more interesting, thanks! Nothing worse than seeing somewhere interesting and not knowing where it is 🙂

So I was up at 3 am with a mission this morning and I was out on a gravel road overlooking the local wildlife area by 5 am waiting for the sunrise. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn't bless me with a very good sunrise this morning, but I got some photos that I'm pleased enough with to have made it all worthwhile. This is the first time I've been out with my camera in a very long time and I enjoyed it immensely. ~
