Yes, I think I'm going to give the latest Hugin a try again, although if you have PhotoShop I believe there's a stitch facility that's a little easier to use.

Fantastic colours and cloud formation, anotherscotsman :)

Cheers :)

Hugh

Beautiful. Seems like you managed to get Hugin to do a good job. Any tips or tricks that you want to share?

Thanks Hugh and Oblomow - glorious sunsets are a prime attraction here. Just missed a strong thunderstorm but that's what gives the great clouds. Albeit with limited use I've found Hugin seems to do a great job even using the "novice" interface option: drag the files onto the window, and two or three buttons later out pops a decent panorama - no skill on my part I can assure you! If there is a secret, it is probably to do a reasonable job of alignment and overlap of frames at capture stage - these were hand-held portrait orientation so obviously not too picky. Thanks again.

So I'm in the Subway , going from one line to another , and I see , above the stairway I'm on , a set of bars designed to keep the mutants from using the structural elements above the platform as a Jungle Gym.But this one was different . Either by design , or boredom on the part of an MTA welder , someone took the time to put some decorative elements in a mundane piece of apparatus .

"There is bound to be turbulence in the clouds of confusion before one can view the friendly skies, and an illuminated landing strip."

I had chemo this morning and I'm exhausted!
Couldn't find a better photo to express how I feel at the moment but in a positive way.
This one is from last year but it sure is one of my favorites. It made it to The Gazette in Colorado Springs.

Can't be that tough. You seem to get it right more often than not. Hand held I assume?

Thanks AFB and yes, hand held. Much easier to track fast movers.

Still posting re-worked images & probably will be for a while yet.

Minuscule

An exploration of man's ego and how much of a blip in time we actually are in reality.

Created from combining two exposures in Photoshop. One long exposure using a ten stop ND filter for the clouds and reflection on the building, which was actually quite dusty and dirty at the time and another exposure metered for the grill on the lower section.

A muddy picture of myself, taken by a friend during a recent Spartan Sprint in my hometown. Quite a nice challenge! I've had mud everywhere even after like 3 showers. :)

Incredible image. I would put this on my wall!

Really atmospheric (for its lack of atmosphere if you get my meaning) - I love this style of almost clinical architecture photography. Nice one.

This picture was taken from a small island in the Sea of Cortez. That’s Baja, Sur in the background. The water looks like it does due to the wind. The larger boat in the picture is the boat we were staying on.

That is just brilliant!

Certainly looks better than my depressing little window, in my depressing little office that looks out onto a depressing scene of a run down, empty building and a magistrates court.

You need to clean that window dude!
And be grateful for your window, I don't have one in my office!

Mine for today.
