Thanks for the comments on my last pic, I was on a road trip and initially zoomed by the farm buildings but had enough sense to turn around and spend a couple minutes snapping frames. I am pleased as well. Alberta skies are particularly lively this time of year, hot 30 C days generate interesting clouds at our 10 PM sunsets.

Thanks Peter, I think I'd probably agree with you on my sunsets - but I'm also taken by Gasworks' silhouette approach.

Wow, that's warm! I remember from my time living in Scotland, anything above 19-20 degrees is pretty much a heatwave but I know London gets nicer weather - good luck with that then!
Not much better for us car commuters. AC is currently broken. In for repair Friday. Going to cost £600 plus which will put a dent in my photography funds.
Urgh. I am headed down Friday week. Some inconsiderate person arranged a meeting for Friday afternoon. Thankfully I am dropping into City airport onto the DLR then back out. London is horrible in the heat.
Keep coming back to this one. Think the strength of the colour contrast just makes it hypnotic and the painterley (sorry for that cliche word but cant think of a better one) transitions are just so smooth.Yet another I'm afraid. Comments always appreciated.

Love it! Really like the light here. With the contrast of the red against the blue sky really lights it up to me.I bought myself a Jeep last Christmas and have been getting involved with a local group. I never thought of the opportunities for photos

lol... My mate who lives in Dallas has a Wrangler and he adores it. We wind each other up in that I send him brochures over for a proper off roader - Land Rover Defender... and he sends me brochures for Buicks (for the discerning driver of an age apparently)... little things to make you smile...

Taken at the zoo today. This bloke is the proud dad of a six month old boy who just won't stay still long enough for my fully manual 400mm lens and I to get him in crisp focus. Shooting through dirty glass doesn't exactly help either.
Thanks Kenoh - a case of right place, right time. I know it shouldn't but it always amazes me how quickly and dramatically the light changes around dawn and sunset: blink and you miss it.
I'm not certain what sort of tree this was, but it did have several eyes.

Giant Panda from the Toronto Zoo. This is a shot from last year...reprocessed with Lr & Ps CC. The original shot, processed with Aperture, looked kinda sad in comparison. Of course I have to share responsibility for that but I do find Lr so much better.
