Let's try this again ...

Nice. Like the sepia look. Goes well with the composition.

Very nice.

Looks like your enjoying that holiday. Hope those clouds aren't a regular feature.

Loverly image.
Enjoy it while you are there. Grey skies and rain back in the uk.Clouds arrived early this morning, by 11am it was like someone opened curtains and the blue sky was there. Temperature rocketed up to 31 Celsius so we were baked today.
Blue skies again tomorrow. Three more days to get a decent photo....

You'll just have to get up earlier!LOL. Thanks. I have a tripod and some ND filters I am trying to get time to play with... Hopefully before I come back I can get a decent long exposure...
Got it all wrong …. Obviously he's a plant geneticist who's collaborating with folks in the States on a new strain of banana that'll grow in Scotland . His last picture gives it away.
Most appreciated, thank you for your kind comments. I did indeed recently leave the rat race to pursue this as a career. Not sure if I'm brave or just stupid.Adam, you're portrait work is incredible. I always wonder how much post processing goes into some of the images. I think I remember reading a while back you said you were leaving the job to do it full time... A job would only get in the way of talent like that, you have a real eye for it!
Strange as it may seem, you do get palm trees growing in Scotland - within about 100 yards from the West Coast where the Gulf Stream comes in close. Bananas are another thing...
Thank you !Wow another high art cracker of a shot. Very good...
Milky smooth and lovely Bokeh. What was your process?
Another one.
Nice photo and well-spotted. A good example of British humour..Referendum remorse...
Ah but did you have the excitement of getting a ten-bob postal order in your birthday card from your grannie? Sometimes (weather for example) Fahrenheit values sound better to me than Celsius. Funny that the UK is still in a half-way house where distance is still miles (and I still think in fuel economy in mpg) Not all US measures are equivalent to British for example the US gallon is 8x US Pint (16floz) rather than 8x imperial pint (20floz).
My favourite coin was the threepenny bit - chunky and of enough value to buy at least a quarter (pound) of whichever sweets you liked....Don't forget the Rankine temperature scale (the "British" unit equivalent of the Kelvin scale both starting at absolute zero (0K = -273°C or 0R = -459°F)? See what we scientists have to put up with...

No, I got a ten-bob note as we all lived in the same household
Yes, unfortunately things are still measured in miles but at least the distance markers on the motorways are in kilometres. Heaven forbid they should do anything drastic like finishing the job of conversion. :/ I'm okay with metric until it comes to personal measurements, somehow having numbers in the eighties and nineties doesn't sound very good!
Nice job inkmich! That looks much better
Something tells me you're not home yet then …
