Did a bit of printing of some older stuff this week.
beautiful.Another take on the photo example I posted for the Weekly Photo Contest. To put it In Context, these are some of the mill worker's tenements for a 18th-century water-powered cotton mill on the banks of the river Clyde. The river literally powered their lives. Comments always appreciated.

"Rough With The Smooth"
June 2019
An old saying I often hear is "In life we have to take the rough with the smooth" - or words to that effect.
This was Killantringan Bay on a lovely evening earlier this month. Let's hope for more of this weather over the summer!
This isn't one of my favourite images - in terms of composition, I think it could've been better. However, I thought I'd share it anyway.

I'm with @Apple fanboy, beautiful.
Great light on the buildings, was that out of the camera or post work? Were there more buildings beyond the frame? If so it would have been nice to do a stitched pano to bring them in.
Thought that was the one I was on...but it was the Woolwich Ferry. Rented a car at Gatwick enroute to Kings Lynn and the darn GPS routed me to the ferry rather than the M25 bridge. GRRRRR! Made sure I came back the other way (and went online to pay the bridge toll.)
Actually not so bad to take the Woolwich ferry as I believe it leads to the A12 on the other side of the river. Strange detour though as from Gatwick you're straight onto the M25 anyway after the M23Thought that was the one I was on...but it was the Woolwich Ferry. [doublepost=1561377310][/doublepost]My alternate considered for the weekly thread but dropped. While the theme is "Context", figured this was more
"Contrast" - modern to old - than context.
