Iphone 12 Pro Max (and some blown out highlights).
I really can't sneak around with this tank-of-a-lens. But anyway...

"What, you finally brought out the Granny Smith apple?"

Luna loves Granny Smith apples. She comes by my office around the time I normally have lunch and waits for me to finally get to my fruit and cut up small bits of apple for her.

I haven't seen any monarchs yet but I know from my local plant FB group that they are around, as people have caterpillars. My milkweed hasn't gotten any visitors yet this year.
I've seen a couple. We have a dogwood shrub that gets clusters of white flowers this time of year, and that's usually the first time I really see any. The zinnias need to get into gear and get more food sources out there.

I feel nervous how you left it by the water.

It was steady.
I did get a bit nervous my self when i purchased the 5D IV and a bunch of "L"-lenses back in 2018 and left my whole camera bag in a restaurant first time hitting the streets with the gear.
I sat on the bus home and felt kinda "naked" and then suddenly!!! "My bag!!, My Camera!! My lenses!!"
Hopped of the bus and actually ran back to the restaurant and the bag was.. gone. ??

"Ok, that's it, something's telling me that I shouldn't shoot anymore. You can't unfeel/unsee these signs"

Then a happy waiter appeared and asked "Did you forget something" with a smile on his face. He'd taken it back to the kitchen area.
I'm a regular there nowadays.

A discriminating storm grate. I have no clue how dirty water manages to elude the grates gravitational pull or where it goes once it accomplishes that rather miraculous feat.

I think it's more a message to humans. In some of your older cities, the storm drains and sanitary sewers were one in the same. I believe cities have been slowly moving away from this (it's an expensive undertaking) by separating the sanitary sewers from storm sewers. Storm sewers go straight to waterways, while sanitary sewers go to places that you don't want to visit. So basically, don't dump things down this drain that you wouldn't want in your local stream.

Tools of the trade in an ophthalmology office.... Yesterday while sitting in the exam room waiting for the doc to come in I couldn't resist pulling out the iPhone and taking a couple of shots. Usually the exam room is kept dark because the patient has just had their eyes dilated, but that wasn't the case for me, as I was there to see about what was causing one eye to be red, irritated and painful. (Turned out to be a couple of eyelashes that were growing the wrong way and rubbing against the eye, causing some abrasions.) Anyway this setup fascinated me:
