We watched ”The Joy of Painting” every week growing up. Just to be able to make a scene in a 30 minute time slot was impressive in itself, but then there was the pleasant dialog of upbeat Mr. Ross. From his ”Happy Trees” to every time he ”beat the devil“ out of his large brush after cleaning it, he’d get that little chuckle—it didn’t take long and the you just felt like you knew the guy.
Bob had an afro to rival ones sported by Bernie in Room 222 and Linc in the Mod Squad.

I didn't know he passed away. I've seen all the memes and some videos with him last couple of years
