I LIKE this. I'm not even sure of what I am seeing, ... mug of beer, maybe? All I know is it reminds me of my abstract watercolor paintings I do, both the colors and the shapes, - and it is cooling me off!!

Thank you! Actually, yes, it IS a mug of beer. I had temporarily set it down in front of my computer monitor and noticed how it had gotten a bit fogged-up with the humidity we've been having here. The bottom part is the beer, of course, with its foamy "head," and the colors are being picked up from the monitor and have that interesting look of colorful "clouds" due to the moisture. I was instantly intrigued and grabbed my iPhone, which was at hand, to take a couple of shots. I do abstracts every now-and-then. I love it when I spot something and see the photographic possibilities in it!

Wild cats are supremely elusive. How is it that you keep having sightings so close to your house?
My wife and I live in a secluded little "holler" on a defunct 80 acre horse ranch, far away from town and people. We are both very simple and quiet people who love and respect the land and wildlife.
Also, there is no water source here from May till it rains again in December. The wildlife depend on the "water stations" we maintain for them, and this includes squirrels and rabbits - prey for the wild cats and coyotes. There is a large rock outcropping right behind the house - a perfect spot for a bobcat den, with food and water nearby.

The mother bobcat seems to be unconcerned by our presence and allows her kittens to spill out over the hill behind us. Tomorrow l will post a pic of one of her kittens from 4 years ago that is basically sitting in front of our car.
