🏙️ Hope lives around us at all times 🏙️

And as long as we stay aligned, as long as we do not see ourselves as separate. As long as we see ourselves as carried by this amazing force, this amazing intelligence, there is never a moment you can feel powerless. Because you experience that deep path every moment. And that's where you stop despairing.

One definition of hope is "joyous expectation". I've always liked that; it's so grounded.

So many people put in close-up, detailed bee pictures. I have bee p.t.s.d. from childhood. This is the first bee picture I've truly been able to enjoy as it doesn't trigger me. I find the whole photo beautiful and soothing. Thank you : )
p.s. Which doesn't mean I don't appreciate all those other amazing bee photos from the part of me that sees the skill and artistry in them.

Skater, c. 1986, Gainesville, Florida. Exposure information has been lost to the years, but this would have been shot on Kodak Tri-X 400 film, with a Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 lens. Camera body could have been an F3, an F2A, an FE2 or a Nikkormat ELW, probably the F3. I would have put a yellow filter on the lens to get some density out of the sky.
