The view across the bay from a clifftop in Keelung, northern Taiwan (not to be confused with Geelong, Australia); the road leading to this footpath collapsed just this Monday due to heavy rain, with the ground already weakened by the magnitude 7.2 earthquake off the east coast in early April. Shot with a Nikon F4 on Kodak Gold 200 pushed 1 stop, developed and scanned at home.
(In Mandarin Chinese, the name 基隆 sounds almost exactly the same as “Geelong”; the spelling “Keelung” reflects the pronunciation in the Taiwanese/Southern Min language.)
Two days in a row my camera and I have had great catches! Yesterday my favorite Great Blue Heron (GBH) Alfred surprised me by landing near the culvert, then walking in the shallow water there and nabbing himself a nice big juicy catfish! I got a few shots of him before he then took his prize into the culvert to dine in privacy.

Live music is always worth hearing, but Championship level brass is something else.
Random shot taken last evening while testing a newly repaired folding camera. Taken with a Mamiya Six Automat from ca. 1955 on Kentmere Pan 100 b&w film, stand developed using HC-110 at 1+99 dilution for 60 minutes.
This week has certainly been for the birds as far as I'm concerned! LOL! Yesterday afternoon a crow came along to check out the scene from the top railing of my deck. I got up from the computer very quietly and went over to the dining table, where I'd set down my A1 and 200-600mm, having used them earlier. Picked up the camera and started shooting from inside the house. Yes, that long lens was a bit of overkill, but hey, it worked!
