The Centennial Land Run Monument in Oklahoma City commemorates the opening of the Unassigned Land in Oklahoma Territory with the Land Run of 1889. The Memorial includes 45 large bronze sculptures and stretches for 365 feet in a city park, each sculpture being 1.5 times life size. Impressive.

Monument to remember the 48 soldiers (from the US 504th Parachute Infantry during Operation Market Garden) that lost their lives while crossing the river Waal on 20 sept 1944.

Led by a military veteran, the bridge's 48 street lights light up one by one at the pace of the march, in tribute to the 48 soldiers who died in the crossing.
