Is that wooden platforms? that must bounce like crazy when there are lots of folks on it no?

Absolutely Ken. The platforms on the elevated rail loop (the "L" in local parlance) tend to be wooden. The rail structure is steel with what buildings there are having corrugated iron sheet roofs (snow on the ones in this picture despite the bluish-tint to it from post). Both keep the weight down I suppose. The structures are remarkably vibration resistant, perhaps because wood itself is pretty good at damping (same effect is found in older surveying tripods having wooden legs). IMHO the "L" is fantastically photogenic (even if I fail to capture it) and contributes significantly towards the great downtown area character.

Obviously feeling spiritual today.

Lovely use of shallow DoF to give the spiritual feel. The only improvement IMHO would be to warm the background whites a bit to add to the richness of the feel. Nice.

Some ridiculously generous person gifted me a 90mm Leica Elmar-C lens yesterday so I took it for a quick spin on my evening dog walk. It managed to make this bit of scrubland look quite nice.

I also warmed up my candle picture a bit as suggested.

For what it's worth, I prefer the warmer version - more in keeping with the atmosphere you would expect.

Lovely scrubland shot - nice how the sun isn't absolutely dominating the scene.

I like the slightly warmer atmosphere too.

Fantastic woodland shot. Love the light and the soft background.

Went to Pinkston Water Park in Glasgow today and saw some guys on an automated Wake Boarding lock. They were connected to a motor driven pull that took them up and down emulating the pull of the boats. Cracking show of skills and managed to catch some shots on the manual focus Leica. Hope you like them, comments always welcome.

Good job Ken. Who says you need autofocus for sports/action shots eh!

Oh man it was so tough trying to nail focus. Then two of the guys asked if I would send the photos to them! PRESSURE!! Need to go back with the tripod and see if I can improve. Quite happy but noise was an issue

And... I absolutely adore the M9 but... You need the bloody force to see if you have got focus or not on the screen!

Well done. Even my camera got an outing today. I'll stick one up later if I get a chance.
Got talking to a mountain biker who asked if I'd like to do a shoot for his magazine.
Took his number but forgot to hit save. Sort of bloody luck I'm having this year.

Aw man! Denied! But... You got out with the camera... So a win nonetheless!
