Very cool. Thanks for the set-up shot -- was trying to figure out what you were shooting through. Nice use of bubble wrap.

cheers!

there's some post production as well, among others, rubber stamps, motion blur, exposure/contrast/brightness, distortion, a lens flare etc etc

I have added the original photo in my post

canon 6D | TS-E 17mm | 1/180 | f/11 | iso 100 | 2x 600 ex rt

One of this odd photos

Cant explain it....but i love the colouration on this photo....i think its the blues in the rust/paint.

Thanks for the insight to yet another creative idea. Mine for today.

Playing with the tilt-shift lens and some tight planes of focus. This is getting a plane of focus to follow a creek, starting at the pole on the lower left, tilted the full 8.5 degrees to get the narrow focal plane, rotated to align with the creek and finally focused throughout. I haven't used it in this way before, but think I might explore it a tad further in different scenarios. I'll try and avoid doing those miniature appearing scenes that most folks think of when you mention a tilt-shift lens, but I won't make any promises, I have one of them in mind...

this is definitely not evidence of a pea sized brain :D, not lacking in aesthetics either

I have yet to put my TS to any actual use other than ultrawide

cheers!!

Steps outside JFK library

Posted this earlier in color. I've noticed over time that the things that draw me to subjects and specific compositions are best rendered in B&W--tones, lines, forms, shapes, textures.

Going through a review process of some of my pics planning to print some for display at home.

Liked this better in B&W. Pattern of the stairs. Lots of lines leading the eye into the composition. Tonal variation with the shape of the building on the right that leads the eye into the composition. What is around the corner?

Felt this all fits in well with the broader subject of JFK. Dynamic speaker who drew people into his message, with a question mark of what was around the corner. Made stark by his early death.

Bleh. Too much text. Images speak for themselves or don't....

Engaging

This is a photo that I shot this weekend of my daughter and her fiancé. I don't normally shoot portraits but I did like how this turned out considering it was shot on the spur of the moment. D610, Nikon 24-70 mm, f2.8
