One of my favorite places to visit when I lived in England. I loved the old buildings and the crazy leaning and weathering just adds great character to the whole town. This is probably the most famous house in England that nobody famous was either born in or lived in LOL

Spider Lilies in bloom @ Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve
Been away for a while and this is a really nice photo. I set it as the lock screen on my new 6s. Hope you don't mind.

Note: Don't charge an iPhone off a gas generator of any kind unless you have a surge protector on it. I don't care what it says in the generator handbook...

A Nut Hatch. These guys love to walk up trees for some reason. Why don't they just fly?

Nice bird pic, as usual. They mostly hunt for insects so they hop up and down trees. They also eat seeds and nuts when bugs are scarce. They will wedge a larger insect in the bark and chop it up with their beak for a snack. Yumm! Nuthatches have been known to use pieces of bark as levers to pry uncooperative bugs out of cracks for "dinner dates"

Better question: If they eat insects, why are they called Nuthatches???

This isn't the type of photography I do, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

I like the composition. I like the slight vignetting in the corners.

The little piece of "something" in her hair above her left eyebrow is mildly distracting.

The fill flash is a bit overexposed. The blown out highlight on her cheek is very distracting for me. Possible this could be recovered from the RAW file. Dialing down the flash a bit at capture might help subsequent images.

I like the image though.

Just my two cents.
