Whenever I get new camera gear, my dogs play a big role in testing it.
Since the frame rate and auto focus of my new camera were the main reason for the upgrade, what better way than testing it with some treat tossing?
Considering your reason for upgrading , and your picture , I imagine you're pretty happy with your choice .

Absolutely. Bird and other wildlife photography is on my agenda as well as my wife's horse.
Sounds like I'll be busy, but that's the way I like it!

I am newish to these threads - what did you upgrade to? New gear is always so exciting. :)

I've been using a Canon EOS M3 and upgraded to a 7D Mark II.
With the M3 I might have gotten one sharp shot out of a series, but peak of action was most likely not in that shot!
The 7D Mark II captures 10 frames per second and auto focus follows the action.
Needless to say, I'm super excited about my purchase!

Pentax K1000
by Alex, on Flickr

New toy. Found it at an estate sale. I cleaned it up, ordered some 35mm film and a replacement battery. Hope it works!
Beautiful. I will be great fun. Good cameras, Very small and light compared to cameras nowadays. The lenses are great too. We still have 2 Pentax ME Supers with SMC 50, 1.7 somewhere in a cupboard. I can't say goodbye to them. Although I never use them.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a 'tote' and/or a tote building?
No problem - I'm no expert on this so apologies if factually wide of the mark. The Tote is/was a bookmaker in the UK that was owned by the government and had special rights/privileges with respect to what kind of bets can be placed with them. Originally set up in the 1920's or 30's to provide a safe alternative to illegal bookmakers.

I've been quiet here as of late, but I've been a bit busy. Is it okay if I post 38 photos in the photo of the day thread? Of course it is, I'm The Bad Guy and I don't care for your puny rules. :p

Anyway, I'm in the middle of a charity project for Jeans for Genes Day that will hopefully end up in an exhibition later in the year. I'm aiming for 52 subjects (one for each week) and am doing an offshoot sub project at the same time, a 'pair of jeans' if you will.

Good luck with the charity project - nice idea for a project. Must be a bit of a challenge getting so many sessions to look consistent over a year (assuming that's the intention of course).

Thank you and yes, that's exactly the problem I've had to overcome. Although these images have been taken over the last month and a half, not a year. It's been a pain in the arse to get the same 'look' or at the very least, the same shadowfall.
