Somewhat of an abstract with a ladybug.
Sky rats. When you see a pigeon, you should shoot, but not with a camera! While I was sitting in the garden yesterday playing with a new Cokin Oval C. Spot filter I was pointing the camera at the bird bath to take an experimental shot, and these two pigeons landed to take a drink.
I couldn't resist the opportunity to press the shutter - the filter is why there's a white vignette around them

These are Wood Pigeons, not the vermin you see in the towns and cities; totally different and far more endearing.Sky rats. When you see a pigeon, you should shoot, but not with a camera!
That's an interesting composition. I like it.
Your comments leave me shaken, not stirred!
I'm not surprised they cheered if they all came away with a shot this good.Another shot of Tunnel View from a different day.
This is an example of "don't like the weather...wait a few minutes". The last minute of the setting sun poked through the clouds in the valley behind us and we got this light just long enough to grab a couple shots.
Must have been a 50 people there at the viewpoint and we all cheered when the sun completely set..it was a very cool moment.

Excellent flower shots as always.
Thanks .... I went back today to retake the courtyard I posted Monday , and brought the 12-24 with the hope of maybe getting a better composition . Anyway , while I was there , I decided to play around taking close images at wide settings with shallow DOF . The lens is stupidly wide , has this bulbous front element , and really needs to be stopped down some to get a decent image . It should also be leveled on a tripod to prevent all sorts of strange optical things from occurring . I was neither stopping down nor paying any attention to leveling , knowing there'd be some unusual stuff occurring . Took a bunch of shots around the grounds and , so far , this worked about the best to my eye .That's an interesting composition. I like it.
