Do you have the newest update to LR via CC? There is a masking option for brushes and other adjustments now that really helps with haloing.
Yeah, I do Molly, I have played with it, but to be honest with you, even with their luminosity masking, it's not accurate enough, as compared to the clean selections achieved with Luminosity Masking in Photoshop that is.

I am commenting to say that Mrs. AFB is beautiful.
After nearly 20 years of marriage, I'd have to agree with you.

Do you want donations to a charity or flowers sent to the crem mate?
It's alright she hasn't spotted it yet! I know she hasn't because I just got dinner cooked for me ;)

Looks like you had great weather and lighting. Nicely done as usual.
Thanks AFB. With just two visits there, I don't have much experience with the weather in Yosemite but I can safely say that when I was there in February..."If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes".

A majestic series without resorting to black and white for impact (though that might also be worth a try).

Thanks anotherscotsman. I did try a couple in b & w but felt the colour versions worked better given the soft lighting. Besides, I wanted to avoid trying to copy you know who...even if it would be a failed attempt. However, I couldn't resist with this one from Yosemite Valley:

Have you been to Yosemite? If not, you should go if you're in San Fransisco again. It's an absolutely incredible sight and experience and it's any easy 3.5 hr drive from SF that is really quite beautiful in itself.

Another stunning shot. Very nice.

Another stunner Peter!

Thank you keyrex and MacRy. As I said to anotherscotsman, Yosemite is amazing. The first time you drive into Yosemite Valley it'll take your breath away. Combined with a few days in San Francisco is a wonderful experience for photography.

Love it. If I am still employed and our kick off is Vegas again this year, then I am thinking the plan should be to arrive in to SF and road trip through Yosemite and Death Valley to Vegas. I would love to see Half Dome.

This is a great image of the Ansel Adams sign and the earlier bridge is a cracker too.

Nice gentle tones not over powering the butterfly. Lovely.

Only in SF for a day and a half on business - would love to visit Yosemite, a definite bucket list location.
