How lovely!

Thanks! Aren't they cute? I'm always excited this time of year when goslings and ducklings suddenly appear on our little lake. It's fun to watch them growing from fuzzy little things into gawky adolescents as they eventually mature into full-grown Canada geese. Wish they'd been a little closer to me; they were all the way across the lake, so thank goodness for the long 600mm lens, but I still had to crop fairly extensively. I'm sure that I will have more opportunities over the next few weeks to get closer shots of them......

Lets hope so...

Another for my garden. Does anyone shoot anywhere else these days?

Well, our rules here say you can drive to a location for a walk, so long as you walk for longer than you drove.
There are plenty of remote places around where we live; one in particular that leads down to a little known small sandy bay on the lower reaches of the Thames (right opposite Canvey for you Essex boys).
I've planned to take a camera down there for ages, but somehow I don't feel like going at the moment - guilt? I don't know ;)

So at the moment I'm dredging up all sorts of archive shots to post, interspersed with lockdown garden photos.

Cheers :)

Our county and state parks opened last weekend , the only time I got out with the camera in the 6 -8 weeks before that was a bird photography trip last week to about the only Federal NWS within reasonable (think 2 hours on the highway) distance . So maybe I'll be shooting something besides flowers .

I don’t feel like going out most of the time!

We can walk to parks so we have been doing 2-3 mile loops daily. Helps tire out the puppy too. ?
Good for you. I should really try and go for a walk myself.

Look forward to seeing both birds and flowers. Both beautiful subjects.

There was a conversation earlier about where we go shoot and for me it's a case of "it hasn't really changed". Our local wildlife refuge is about a 15 minute drive away so that's why the endless, endless plains and trees shots plus wildlife sprinkled in.:) Also, I go on 3-5 mile walks each day though I rarely take a camera but perhaps that will change.

A small foot bridge that crosses Hobble Creek. We can stretch this paved walk to 4 miles if we continue past the end of the pavement. Nikon D3300 with kit 18-55mm VR lens.

Today is take the old man to work day so I accompanied my wife to her work as campus operations manager. The facility was "closed" over a month ago, unless you want to come in to work or to study. Then you can. I'm not sure how this is "closed." There are only a handful here today.
