Yes that’s fine. The big rule is one per day, not what camera. ?Question for everyone. Is a scan of a photo originally that I shot with a film (not digital) camera acceptable to post in this or other Digital Photography threads?
If the answer is no (I suspect it may very well be no) it is not a big deal, but I do have a few nice pictures I wouldn't mind posting if that doesn't violate guidelines.
Thanks! It seemed like a bit of a gray area to me, so I wanted to do a sanity check.Yes that’s fine. The big rule is one per day, not what camera. ?
At first, I wondered about the extension of the term to include photos taken by other than an Apple product I had then reckoned it was a forum for photos that were born digitally. Now it's plain that it is really just photography born, re-born or manipulated digitally .Question for everyone. I had a G4 15" Powerbook for a short time -- my first Mac laptop! -- before then they switched over to Intel and so I eventually sold the Powerbook to a colleague at work and bought a 15" Intel MacBook Pro, which I loved and used for several years. Then I bought a 17" MBP and used that for quite a while, too, but mostly at home, although it did go on. a couple of photo trips with me and was great for editing images on the road. Eventually I moved on, though, and went back to the 15" size MBP.True. The trackpad in this PowerBook does work well, but yeah the size has increased.
You can still see echoes of the current MacBook Pro design in these older PowerBook laptops. I will post a cat & Mac laptop picture tomorrow with a MacBook Pro 2010 17" and the resemblance to the current MBP is very strong.
I have posted several photos that were taken with my 4x5 view camera, obviously not digital, without repercussions. I have made other faux pas that were met with immediate results, as they should have been.At first, I wondered about the extension of the term to include photos taken by other than an Apple product I had then reckoned it was a forum for photos that were born digitally. Cool.
Was it a 2008 MBP 15"? I had one of those, and used it for 8 tears. Great computer.and bought a 15" Intel MacBook Pro, which I loved and used for several years.
My 15" Intel MBP was one of the first Intels, purchased in 2006, I think. The Intel Macs were introduced at MacWorld in SF in 2006. iMacs and MBPs. I loved my little Powerbook but couldn't resist the lure of an Intel MBP.....Was it a 2008 MBP 15"? I had one of those, and used it for 8 tears. Great computer.
That sounds lovely to me but unfortunately no. You have to forgive me but I don't recall the type of either tree but neither were a jacaranda. It was a lovely spring day at the Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore, MD though to hike the trails and take a few pictures in the gardens.Se parece al árbol de jacarandas en el patio de mi depa previo.
Looks like the jacaranda tree from the back yard at my previous flat.
A visitor or local resident?A fun snapshot opp that I spotted when looking across the lake:
"What happened to the pretty flowers?"

Local resident.....don't know where the rest of the gang was, as he was on his own over there. Sometimes a whole gang congregates in the grassy areas on that side of the lake, sometimes they congregate on our side. Lately I haven't seen that many geese, although we had plenty of them all winter on the lake. I'm hoping that maybe this guy was on his own while his mate is sitting on a nest somewhere and that soon I'll look out and see goslings paddling along behind Mum and Dad! I hope......A visitor or local resident?

The other half of the "big rule" is that it is of your own work (though we have granted a recent exception). Thanks! It seemed like a bit of a gray area to me, so I wanted to do a sanity check.
I figure some of these pictures, if I can get a good quality scan, will be nice to use in the PotD (subject of course to the one picture a day guideline ) and the Photo Association Game Thread.
Understood, I though I had mentioned that in one of my messages in this thread but obviously not.The other half of the "big rule" is that it is of your own work (though we have granted a recent exception).
I remember seeing someone with one of those at an airport and feeling very jealous at the time.True. The trackpad in this PowerBook does work well, but yeah the size has increased.
