Nikon Z 50, Nikon 70-200mm, 175mm, 1/320 @ f/2.8, ISO 140

Incredible lens, and one I never thought I could reasonably afford. However I was lucky enough to pick up a 'damaged' VR1 version for £160 (about $198). The usual 2nd hand price is in excess of £500.
The damage was limited to the lens surround, and it was described as being unable to take the hood or lens cap. However the inner thread quite happily took an 82mm metal hood and an 86mm cap fitted the whole thing perfectly, and has hidden any broken parts.

Cheers :)

It’s an Aquilegia, self seeded from just a few plants to a lovely covering - probably my favourite flower at this time of year. Some of them have reverted to a purple colour which is their native plumage, but they are also gorgeous.

What puts me off using this lens for that type of shot is the 5’ minimum focus, but as it’s 2.8 throughout the range I got away with it.
It’s also pretty good with an old Kenco 1.4 teleconverter, so I’m looking forward to trying it out on some wildlife.

PS - yes, I’ve just looked it up and columbine is it’s common name ;)

Cheers :)

It's really beautiful: nice pink tones
Tomorrow I will share the photo of the one I have
It's coming back by itself too? (second year) but has a different shape and it's purple and white.
