One of yesterday's two Cormorants came back today for another cruise around the lake as he looked for some tasty fish to eat...... Never saw whether or not he actually got some breakfast, but in the meantime I did nab a shot of him doing the typical Cormorant "Displaying," which is a way of cleaning off his wings.

One thing about Cormorants which fascinates me is their gorgeous gem-like turquoise blue eyes.....

I was looking through some of my old aviation photos and found this:
Shoreham air display, August 31 2002
Nikon E5700
Reminds me of the Abbotsford Air Show (Abbotsford, B.C. near Vancouver) I would go to with my Dad when I was a kid. Good memories of thrills, plugged ears and seeing these birds in action or close up. They used to start with the noisy fly by of a CF-101 Voodoo, the Canadian Force's main fighter before the CF-18. Plus the RAF Vulcan aluminium triangle - the Canadian Force's Snowbirds, Blue Angels and others. Plus lovely biplanes and old warbirds. Soft drinks coke usually, hot dogs and ice cream. Miss you Dad.
