Calm waters - Sea of Cortez

We hit this quiet beach around 2/3 of the way down Baja somewhere north of Santa Rosalia. The waters on the Sea of Cortez side of the peninsula were almost bathtub calm for several days in the numerous small bays along the way.

amazing colours like always Steamie... I' m leaving to New York today so I will be bringing some photos on tuesday yay

Thanks, I look forward to seeing them !

Anther shot that looks kinda dull as it's scrolling down from the top... then the light on the grass - and fallen leaves - just pull it all together. Another lovely shot, Steamie. Someone's planted the trees in regimented lines, yet each tree has its own individual character. And I like the emptiness: no people... :)
Thanks again Mr Doylem, this park is mobbed in the summer, in the winter you barely see a soul other than the occasional dog walker.

Superb shots as always Doylem & Steamie! Here's my novice attempt at the autumn colours theme.

" And Now For Something Completely Different ! "

Really sorry for this guy's but the weather has been dreadful the last few day's so I resorted to doing the old cliche of trying to photograph water drops. Bit of a different direction for me but reasonably happy with the results. :)

No need to be sorry about this one. Good stuff! :)

Finally scanned some slides I took during a winter trip in northern finland in 2001. The
camera was a Pentax ME Super, with a 24mm 2nd rate lens. We were sleeping in log cabins, with an outdoor toilet. In the morning I passed the thermometer, I did my job and after that ran back to the cabin grabbed the camera and quickly took a shot.

later that morning our (native) skidoo driver arrived to take us to the airport, he complained about the weather! :)

I recognise that tree! You did a nice split photo for the last photo comp.
Oh, yeah. Can't believe you remembered it! :p I have about five or so shots that have a different sunrise/sunset setting against that palm tree. It's pretty cool stuff.

I like your photo a lot. He looks very... triumphant. Could be a movie poster pose! :p
