can someone give me some instructions on how flickr photos are posted?

every time I try to pull a link, I get a blank area, thus restraining me to attachments.

thanks in advance

Got my beloved X100 back from repair today. Celebrated with a selfie to test it out. It seems only fair after posting unflattering pics of the wife to post unflattering ones of myself.

Nice shot. But, mercy, how intimidating. You automatically win for all future photo contests. Who's gonna say no to you now? lol

Follow the link Apple Fanboy posted. It hasn't been updated since the big Flickr update, but it still works. PM me if there are any issues.

Lol. I didn't mean to look that intense. I was only taking a quick snapshot to test some custom settings.

OMG... Father Ted. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that show.
How about some nice pictures of Craggy Island now. :)

"Cup of tea, father? Ah, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan, g'wan"...

One of my photographic ambitions is to spend some time in Southern Ireland (Eire), starting with the limestone landscape of the Burren...

Ever watch those Guy Ritchie movies...? :D:D:D

New Camera

Been a frustrating few weeks without a camera. Took a huge leap of faith and sold all my SLR gear. Much as I loved it all, I just wasn't taking it out often enough because of the sheer bulk.
Many of my more memorable photos have been taken with a lesser camera simply because I had it with me. So with that in mind, I've gone micro four thirds and tooled up with an Olympus PEN E-P5, which is small enough to stuff in the lightest of backpacks.

Had a Stroll around the historic village of Saltaire yesterday to try it out:

LOL I can't help myself but to repeat that whenever I hear someone offer tea.

Southern Ireland is beautiful, as is your picture!

I had a chance to visit Los Angeles a short time ago, so I'll likely be supplying some images from that trip. Here's a cool shot from CarsLand at Disney's California Adventure theme park. They did an incredible job of designing this land. This is just one of their cafe restaurants.

Stuck with just my 50mm f/1.8 II until the 24-105 comes back this week from the hospital, so I couldn't get as wide as I would have liked for this one.

I actually like the framing on this one. Sometimes the limitations of our equipment push us to do things outside of our comfort zone or initial gut reaction. Good shot.

Nice shot.

I think more and more people are coming around to the idea of compact system cameras for the same reason as you. I did the same as I had access to a DSLR but never took it anywhere because it was so cumbersome and I felt really self conscious lugging it around. My Fujifilm x100 goes everywhere with me and it's no trouble at all. Tomorrow for example I'm going to London on business and my Little Fuji will be in my coat pocket waiting for an interesting scene to catch my eye.

I look forward to seeing more shots from your Pen. They're nice little cameras.

Another vote for compact system cameras. I'm just so happy that technology can now give me the quality I want in a small package!

The X100 and X100S were on my shortlist, along with the Panasonic Lumix GX7.
The Fujifilms were selected because of picture quality (and aesthetics - I love a good-looking camera), and the Panasonic from the positive reviews and built-in articulated viewfinder (and also not bad looking).
Ultimately it came down to how nice the PEN felt and looked when I handled it in-store. It took me back to the days when I first bought an Olympus Trip - the camera which originally fired up my passion for photography. It just felt right.

The initially baffling menu system can be distilled to an intuitive collection of more commonly used functions, resulting in the camera already feeling like an old friend. And now I have no excuse for leaving it at home

I really like the look and feel of the PEN range but I love a viewfinder and couldn't be doing with an add on to make it happen. I actually had an EPL1 for a while and it put me right off of CSCs for a while because of it's refusal to focus in anything other than brilliant sunshine. My Panasonic GF1 got me falling in love again but I craved the viewfinder. That GX7 is a nice looking camera and if I hadn't fallen in love with the Fuji I'd probably be looking at one of those myself. Ultimately it boils down to what feels good to you though and what makes you want to go out and take photos and you certainly seem to have found that.
