Hi everyone just sharing a fun shot and a bit of news. First the news: Those of you who enjoy landscape photography may be interested to know that there will be free live streaming of the
Meeting of Minds Dedicated Landscape Photography Conference taking place in England's Lake District this weekend. I'm one of the speakers, and you can tune in online to watch my talk on Sunday at 2pm (GMT). They will also be doing a live interview with me, and you can ask me questions via their Twitter feed (@on_landscape).
Also exciting for me is the current issue of the magazine, Issue 126, which includes a lengthy interview with me. They asked some really thoughtful questions on topics such as composition, image processing, photographic storytelling, and much more.
If any of you are in England and can make it to the conference, I hope that you'll come up and say hello. It would be great to meet some forum members in person! (Looking at you,
Doylem!)
And now about the photo: I took this one about a year ago but didn't get a chance to process it until much later. It shows rare flood conditions in Badwater (Death Valley), which was a real treat to experience and to photograph. This was after the big storms that wiped out Scotty's Castle, which was quite unfortunate, but the floods did create some great conditions for photography in a lot of the wilderness areas.
