I just go my Tamron 17-28mm F/2.8 Lens for Sony cameras and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it so far for the price. I'm surprise how close you can get to a subject with this lens though it's not really a portrait lens.

Really impressed on how close you can focus with the Tamron 17-28mm lens. It's almost like having a wide angle macro lens and the cost of the lens is pretty decent.
Day of the Dead
mmm. Went for a walk and didn't take my camera. Phone shot.
Playing with panoramic stitching (plus I needed a narrow banner photo for a website). Had the more traditional "clean" skyline, but wanted to bring in the sculpture.

Finally upgraded my kit lens on my Sony 6300 and got a Sigma 30mm 1.4

The ornate Jackson Building is perhaps the most beloved skyscraper in Downtown Asheville, located at 22 S. Pack Square along Pack Square Park. The 13-story Neo-Gothic style skyscraper was completed in 1924, the first skyscraper in western North Carolina. It was also the tallest skyscraper in all of North Carolina! The skinny building was designed by Ronald Greene. Unfortunately, the building is not open to the public.
