Lot of great photos, I got my degree in Photo Science at Rochester Institute of Technology many many years ago. Had a Hassleblad and a few lenses at the time. Took this sometime in the fall over 50 years ago with the Hassleblad. This was my favorite car, lots of fun, should have never sold it ?:

In Sweden for business. Was at the Vasa museum today.

This war ship was the pride of the Swedish king. It took over 4 years to build but clearly they weren’t good engineers. Due to incorrect calculations they built the ship too tall and not wide enough so the centre of gravity was at the top rather than the bottom, and the ship toppled because of a sudden gust of wind. It drowned within 20 mins on its maiden voyage.

They recovered the ship after 333 years from the bottom of the bay and found a lot of it was still pretty intact. Apparently 98% of everything displayed in the museum is original.

It was an awesome experience to say the least.

Have a pair of pics I want to share. Both taken of a dying rose in my basement under studio lighting. The one I'll share today was taken with my Z7 and 200mm micro lens. Main light was from camera left with a beauty dish giving fairly soft light. Additional light was from behind and below. Tomorrow's pic will be of the same subject with the same lighting, but taken with my Z6-IR.

Another from Pembrey beach. Mrs MacRy and Bob shortly before a rogue wave got them, resulting in Bob having to be carried out of the sea because he’s a wimp.

Good to see you back posting. Wales is beautiful for photography if you get the right weather.

Poor Bob !
Our lurcher doesn't like the sea much, but our new rescue (a little black 'something' from Romania) seems to enjoy playing chicken with the waves).

Cheers :)

He just freezes as soon as he gets in and then starts backing into the sea until you rescue him. No survival instincts at all! He spent a good ten minutes trying to bite the waves as they came in at another beach.

Please don’t stop posting - if these two are anything to go by, we need to see a lot more ?
This is a 1914 water cooled V8 engine being used to test a reproduction of the first flying boat built by Glen Curtiss. Photo taken at Hammondsport, NY on Keuka Lake. You can read all about the the "America", see it fly and all Glenn's other accomplishments at: https://glennhcurtissmuseum.org/curtiss-america.php

"Waiting To Turn"

A tree that is yet to turn it's leaves basks in the sunlight of a brand new day as a delicate mist shrouds a gaggle of geese in the Englischer Garten, Munich, Germany.

Shot settings: Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 OIS lens. Handheld with no tripod or filters (I didn't have them).
5 shots with shutter speed bracketed for full dynamic range at +1, +2, -1, -2 from base exposure. Blended in Photoshop.

Base exposure: 1/60s / f11 / ISO 400
