Wales is always nice.
Good to see you back!

Thanks :) First time I’ve been out taking photos for ages. Probably be short lived as I’m back home on Monday and this week has been agony on my back. Nice to be in beautiful Wales again though.

Bear with me a second. Two pianist have converted "a 16-foot box truck into a fully functioning mobile concert hall, complete with lights, sound system, and piano" with "a bold and rebellious vision: to take quality, live classical performances to unexpected places" (theconcerttruck.org). What an unexpected and pleasant surprise to happen upon while attending the Light City festival in downtown Baltimore. Oh, and they are really good. :)

Curious how the piano sounds. I hear every time you move one, you need to retune it. Maybe they do that themselves at each stop?

Admittedly I don't have season tickets to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra but I thought it sounded it quite good and those of us there listening to them highly enjoyed their performance; part of their purpose is to get out there and deliver classical music to people from all walks of life. The engineer in me did think of the wonders of modern digital technology while listening to them though.

If I was looking at moving on from my D750 I’d definitely rent one. But by the time you use the adapter are you really saving any weight with Pro F mount lenses?

But if we all just used the same camera wouldn’t life be boring?

I think there are some people on here who would take a great photo with a box brownie (I’m putting you in that category), others (me) could shoot mediocre with a PhaseOne back!

Don't to be too harsh about those box brownies, they have many uses.

Many years ago one of my major clients liked to tease and would go through a checklist when I turned up for assignments. The usual stuff, "Have you taken off the lens cap. Have you brought film this time?" And so on. The light harassment stopped after a 'rush' job to photograph a couple of visiting executives from another country. I turned up on time, opened the camera bag and took out an ancient 'brownie'; leatherette peeling from the rusting tin case and definitely ill-treated. The expressions on all their faces was an absolute treat. The second camera in the case saved the day and I definitely scored valuable points. No more teasing.

Nice Picture, Bird-of-Prey (Raptors) are my favorite kind of birds as to me they are the bullies of the species.

Here's a little better shot of the Red-tailed Hawk. Someone in another forum said this was a juvenile bird and I believe it as the colors on this bird isn't as pronounced as an adult Red-tailed Hawk.

Last winter we had six Hooded Mergansers on our lake. This year to my surprise, the other day ten of them were happily floating around. Saw them again this afternoon. No idea of where they spent the summer but they're back and clearly the original six either did some mating over the warmer months or perhaps they told their friends about this nice little lake they'd found.....

Nothing like blending right into their environment:
