Tanagra (not really)
congrats on the new phone!!
Thanks. With the slimmer bezels, it's really not that much less screen than the XR, but it's so much smaller feeling overall. It also helped that between Apple trade-in, a T-Mobile discount, and a bonus trade-in value from T-Mobile, it was actually a pretty cheap move. Phone buying is starting to feel like car buying!

Actually, no -- and it's not flooring, either. Looks pretty realistic, doesn't it? Actually, it's one of the new photo surface boards from Replica Surfaces that I purchased a couple of week ago when they offered it and a couple of other new boards as limited editions. The minute I laid eyes on it I knew it would make a wonderful photo all by itself, never mind using it as a backdrop or surface upon which to put my subject(s)!

With winter and cold weather coming on, I'll be doing more shooting indoors and more tabletops/abstracts/macros, whatever, and a while ago I decided it was time to move on beyond boring black or white foam core boards as backdrops and surfaces. These photo surface boards are really cool and I'm looking forward to working with them; haven't done much so far, since while I could be outside shooting the wildlife of course I wanted to keep doing that as long as possible.

The replica surfaces are really good; I bought two on her Kickstarter campaign and two more later.

I think that it was about a year or so ago that we had a thread going here in which the whole concept of photo surface boards came up and that's where I first heard about Replica Surfaces and also Erickson Surfaces. Thank you! :). Didn't do anything about it at the time but the idea still lingered in the back of my mind. Finally earlier this fall it surfaced again..... (Oops, there I go again!). I have a few Replica Surfaces boards now and one Erickson Surfaces. I'm still trying to find a good place to store them, though -- that Erickson Surfaces board is significantly larger than the others.

@Apple fanboy That pic is epic, it would make a great wall paper. Which part of the UK is it? (I’m uk based btw)

I‘m out of the loop these days regarding camera’s, whats the megapixel quality?
