For calibrating the screen for photo editing, I use a SpydrX data color external calibrator. But the Mac screen can be calibrated using a screen-specific calibrator that's included with the OS. This one is a screen calibrator for general use, not one that is desired for photo editing.I would imagine (my imagination is vivid) a good basic flat screen monitor would suffice - from my past experience with Windows they are easy to calibrate, without an external device. If it is a monitor specific to Macs, that is out of my imagination.
Have a look at the SW240 from BenQ. Nice wide colour gamut and should suit your budget. So I will probably miss a few days here. Monitor died on my main computer and I have to track down a replacement. Meanwhile I am cross booted via Firewire to the laptop to access my photo files. Rather uncomfortable set-up, but easier than moving the monitor. Any good suggestions as to photo-editing monitors under $500 CDN would be appreciated. Will be running from an old Mac Pro 4,1 and the standard Radeon Card. Not sure if that will push anything more than 1080x1920 so any input on that would also be appreciated.
Anyways another deer shot. Lumix ZS200. SS 1/320th ISO-125

I’d be curious to know what type of Owl that is in your part of the world.
Huge respect to your son. Pilots are the real heroes in the sky.

Has anyone seen my electrical tape?dp2 Quattro![]()
Thanks. We always knew he was going to fly. As a kid he lived on flight simulators, then joined CAP in Junior High and got his glider ticket and later his PPL. Went to the Air Force via ROTC and flew KC-135 tankers. He's still in the Reserves but now also flys commercially.Huge respect to your son. Pilots are the real heroes in the sky.
Plenty of the roll is still left.Has anyone seen my electrical tape?
Wow. For a second there, I thought it was an owl, but I realized the wingspan seemed too long. Incredible shot. Thanks. It is a falcon.
I took the picture while I was walking up a mountain when he came flying in.
As I was looking for wildlife, I had a long lense mounted, which allowed to take him from the front.
Nice depth and contrast - I'm jealous
Appreciate it! Neopan Across 100 has a silvery magic to it.Nice depth and contrast - I'm jealous
