Thank you! For most of my macro shots I use the Sony A7R IV (which has very high resolution) and one of my macro lenses, most frequently the Sony 90mm f/2.8 lens. The high resolution allows for cropping without destroying the overall image quality. In this particular situation, though, I was considering doing quite a drastic crop so took the image into Topaz Gigapixel and did a 2x increase, then cropped to the extent I had in mind. There is a fairly new software program out now called "Radiant Photo," and this image seemed to be a good candidate for that, so ran it through there, too, before adding a touch more sharpening and then the title. I don't always tinker with my images this much, but to me with this one, it seemed worth the effort and I was happy with the end result.Really cool. We have a guessing game show TV program in our country which makes people guess what the subject in a closeup photo is. Boring program, but I think I'll take a look again, as this photo is similar to those photos. Though, yours is truly excellent, with fantastic colours. And even with this tight crop is still seems so sharp, in focus.
I think I'll try to do similar shots...knowing too well I won't even come close to yours.
I realized now that we almost have the same photo😁
I was thinking the same about your photo! It's gorgeous!! I like your composition and approach -- this is such a lovely image.I realized now that we almost have the same photo😁
But honestly, your shot was better😂
