Unfortunately, the park no longer exists, and I live about 220 miles from there now. I think I will take you up on that though, and see if I can recreate it with a digital camera. I will report back with the results.🤞🤞🤞😊Maybe go back there and find a similar scene to recreate in digital.
Years ago, in what seems like another life, I attended the CoSIDA convention (College Sports Information Directors of America). This was in the early-to-mid 90s, and athletic departments around the country were all jumping on the desktop publishing bandwagon, and there was a session on Photoshop and working with digital photos. We were all newbies.I love seeing stuff like this done on film when people now say things are too photoshopped. With the recent advances in AI, I understand some of the complaints, but so much of what is done in PS is just based on what stuff people used to do in camera or in darkroom before digital came to be. Thanks for a fun example. 🙂
It could be interesting to start a separate thread in this subforum discussing the ethics and the pros and cons of digital imaging and editing, but it could be a bit controversial as people have different opinions as to what is OK to do and what isn't.... Of course there are specific types of photography in which the images HAVE to be accurate, just as they were shot, warts and all (forensics, journalism, scientific, etc.). This POTD thread isn't the place for that, though.....
Interesting to see the U.S. - Mexico divide.Down at the U.S-Mexico border on a school trip. It was very windy and cold tonight but you can see both sides of the border in this photo. This trip has changed my life, how I think about immigration, etc. It’s also been just a fun trip, too! I’ve gotten to know my classmates a lot better than before and there have been some hilarious moments along the way!
While it’s not the best photo (just shot on my 11 Pro), it really is important.
I love bleak industrial pictures like this. Thank you.
