That's what I thought! LOL! Tsk, tsk.....
Seriously, though, at times I wonder when people here post images of strangers they've encountered somewhere or photos of their family members on the POTD or other threads whether or not they've gotten permission from the people depicted in the images, and/or if the subjects even realize that their photo (or perhaps one of their child) is going to appear on the wide-open internet.
MR, a web-based tech discussion forum (and one not with the same primary focus and intent as a social media site such as FB or a photo-oriented site such as Instagram), is pretty searchable via Google and other search engines.....
I have photos of Roy's, in Amboy, Calif., on Rte. 66. I don't know if I've posted any to MR before. Cool place. I need to go back when there's going to be a good sunset.

Or fakes...I have so many photos of people that I haven't posted here, generally because my photograph of them was from a news story of one kind or another. It's not a question of privacy at that point, just an ethical question of whether it's appropriate to put those photos here, largely stripped of context. Even though those photos have already been published somewhere, so if someone wanted to find them they could.
There are some exceptions, such as public figures, or large public events.
