I'm not really a flower photographer... and there's a reason for that - I don't really do it very well. Still, I kind of liked this in a dreamy kinda way...

Just found out that the tilt-shift series I made of Washington DC earlier in the year is being displayed in 2010 at a major high end hotel chain in DC. This is one of the images that will be there...
Not my favorite, but it's their choice!
Shot with a Canon 5D mkII and a 45mm TS-E F/2.8
Storm passed over today I headed up the Canyon to get some leaves but they had all fallen off, but I did manage to stop and get some mean clouds.

You can take as many photos a day as you like. Cull through them AND THEN post the ONE that means the most to you. Easy peasy.
BTW, like this one.

you are never alone on the water.
that is amazing :O Can you PLEASE describe to me how you do that? I wanted to shoot some drift event later this year and i have no idea how!Formula 1 in poor lighting :
Good lord man, what lens are you using for that? 55mm, quite close focusing distance by the looks of it!
Playing around with self portraits and HDR.
I was going for the not overdone look. What do you reckon?
C&C appreciated.

Quasi tilt-shift. Yes it's a gimmicky shot, but I think it's sometimes fun to play in post (especially when all the processing was done on my iPhone).
I think you're on to something... it basically looks really good. Just watch the color saturation in the shadows - you don't want more there than in the mid-range or lit up areas.
