I've searched FAQs and the like... but I can't find the info I need.

In what format do I post so that the photo is in a larger format on the forum page... rather than the usual "click-able" jpg that I tend to post??

Help would be appreciated.

BJ

I think the only option is by hosting the photo on an external website (flickr etc) and put a link to it using the IMG tags ('Insert Image' option).

There's a spider in my basement that would make for a really nice macro shot, but I don't want to get that close. I'm not arachniphobic, but it would make me uncomfortable.

Changing roles...

My trusty D50, which has been a really good camera (shown with the nifty-fifty Nikkor f/1.8 mounted,) is going to take on the back up role for now with the D300 taking over. Shot with D300, Tokina 12-24, just testing the focus of the new body. There's some learning to do...

I spent most of yesterday trying to figure this out and this is what you need to do. First, you need a free online photo hosting site like flickr or ImageShack. I chose ImageShack. After you upload your file, select the thumbnail and right click it, selecting Show Full Size. The second one down of the list. There will be a few scripts listed on the right, one of which reads Link to Forums. Copy this url and go to your MR post message. There is a yellow icon that opens a box for posting a url. It is easy to miss, so I added a clipping here. Paste your photo's url here and follow the instructions described in the following Forum link.

Double Dipping...

Sorry, just got in from shooting some long exposures and couldn't help but want to post this one so... yes, I'm double dipping on the day.

Thanks... sometimes just tossing something on a desk and letting things go where they may can work. The D50 probably won't actually retire... since it's light, durable and makes good images. And, I'm still very attached to it. Someone suggested converting it to IR... but not yet. There's still some life in that baby.

This really speaks to the changing seasons, and it captures a special atmospheric ambience that makes me feel like I'm standing in the scene. Love this one.

Well, it was worth it. Double dip away. In this one you gave us the light, the ethereal, spellbinding contrast to the gathering darkness. Beautiful tones and warmth transform a potentially gloomy scene into one of reflection and peace. I like it mucho...!

Okay, mine for the day. Not much to shoot the last couple of days because I've been busy, so I've just been playing around with the newly aquired D300, mainly to see how it behaves with the lenses I've used on the D50, especially the AF. When bored, take pictures of objects on your desk, or your reflection in the mirror... D300, Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8

Sampaku... not really

My mother-in-law yesterday.

She didn't much like the wine...

Great still-life. Less is more :)

Not my best, but I really liked the colors in this photo for some reason.

Great pic. I love that there are so many different things going on.

my first time sharing, some amazing light near the end of a wedding:

Spectacular. Keep it coming!

I liked the way the early morning light hit the grass tops. In hindsight I wish I'd shot it at f/4 or f/5.6 to extend the DOF a bit.

I'd say it's perfect! Love the ethereal feel it has to it.

Wow. Love those autumn colours.

Where are those smoke plumes coming from? Houses in the woods?
