ISO 12,000 with my D700+85/1.8.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Very 'luminous.' ;) Love the color. I really, really was trying to swing a D700 for the low light capability, but had to pull the trigger on a D300 at half the price, at least for now. But, I'm still full of full-frame Nikon lust... gotta finish the glass collection first. 85f/1.8 is on the list if I can't swing the f/1.4 version. It would be interesting to see more available light D700 images...

Charlie (my labrador retriever) sleeps here... sometimes

Just doing more focus tests and exploring the .jpeg settings on the D300 as I compare RAW to .jpeg images directly from the camera... still learning all the various 'processor' functions available, when all I really want to do is focus, set the aperture and shutter speed, and 'click' when ready... ;)

Wherever I hang my hat...
It's Ashness Bridge in the Lake District. Probably one of the most famous views in the lakes! Found on hundreds of postcards. Maybe this is the next postcard! Looks lovely.

Ashness Bridge is one of those places in the Lake District that is much visited - and photographed - because it's quite picturesque and easy to get to. Visitors have been 'creatures of habit' ever since they first came to explore the Lakes (late 1700s), and the same 'visitor honeypots' continue to attract the crowds today. There's no real logic to it...

The woman in the left corner bothers me. Actually I would have liked it with little to no people but I know Times Square thats impossible.

wixberry that shot is gold.

I posted a shot from the same spot a few months ago but felt at the time the light was all wrong. Finally got the right conditions. :)

Wonderful. I love the hues... I feel like renting a 5D now... :D

Nice work, Mr. Adams... ;)

Thank you gkarris

I am trying to get my EOS 3 dialed with Ilford 3200, but am having trouble with the eye control and my contacts. The 5D with Silver Effects Pro post does a good job, but the Ilford is just amazing with 'L" glass.

Salmon River on the left. This was from a winter hike a couple of years ago, and I'm heading back with the D300 and some new glass for another look.

Try fredmiranda.com's Buy and Sell forum to pick up a great condition at several hundred dollars less than the usual retail price.

Thank you for the kind words :). The D700 really is a remarkable camera, and I can't imagine not being satisfied with it for many years to come.

What's your lens collection look like right now?

I usually warn clients that "spot color" is a fad, but they always ask for it anyway  ;)
