The Fog rolled in and put the tree on fire

Snapped this while moose hunting as the fog gently rolled through the forest, thick and thin at times.

Shot on my Panasonic TM900 HD camcorder (didn't have any other camera with me so I took a chance and hoped it would turn out).

I post this photo, made just a few days ago, in memory of Steve Jobs. It's the iconic glass staircase of Apple Retail, in this case the Xidan Store, Beijing. I was happily clicking away, experimenting with my wide angle, when the guards chased me out the fully packed store. The staircase was not full, fortunately.

Love shots like this, it kind of has a timelessness about it, except maybe the badge!
Certainly does seem to suit B&W.

That badge is why I noticed him and took the shot. It will be timeless into the 23th century when we finally have Starfleet. :)

Sorry for double post, but I didn't post for ages so adds up to 2 today ;) Loved this place. Like a set from Blade Runner.

My dad had a cb radio in our custom family full size van, we'd go for 3 week vacations in the 70's and chatter away on it, what a craze that was.
I still feel the chill go up/down my spine listening to this song....

We are having a remarkable fair weather October here. A friend noted smoke on the horizon. You can make it out at top of pine. Don't know if there was a forest fire or not. Happy Thanksgiving to fellow canucks and indeed, to all on POTD.
