Snapped this on my way home today, right before the storm rolled in.

Fuji X-E1 + Fujian 35mm f/1.7 CCTV

Nice! Great results from such a cheap arse lens ;)

Here's this evening's sunset with my XE1 and 15mm Voigtlander

Trying to recreate the film grain of a Nikon D2Hs using a D5000 and dodgy PS techniques, with apologies to bhtwo :)

Photo of the Day October 2014

I love this crappy little lens!

Well you're definitely making it work for you!

Edit: and your photostream is a fantastic example of why gear is less important than talent! Great work with mirrorless cameras fella.

Another one from Malvern today. New material this weekend I promise.

Is the horizon straight? Might have been my laptop on a funny angle on my knee!

So I have 36 selects from the shoot I did this past week so I have a lot of ammunition for this thread to take me into next month!

As always, comments appreciated!

I believe so. The cloud layer was strange. I needed to be up there earlier tbh. The one good thing about darker mornings. You don't have to get as early for sunrises.

I find the composition a bit strange in this one. I'd like to see the guys head as well as the shoes. Just my opinion.

It's not a very technical shot, but I ended up flooding the bathroom because I saw this horse playing silly buggers outside so I grabbed my camera and snapped some shots through a dirty window. Meanwhile the electricity blew as the water seeped into on of the light fittings. All dried out OK so I guess it was worth it to get such a strange shot.

That, for me, is what makes this photo a good composition. Leaving parts out makes me, as the viewer, want more. It adds a bit of drama.

He didn't look so impressed when he saw me taking a photo of him.

Love the expression! B&W works perfectly for such a day-to-day or industrial subject.

Beach sunrise

Forgot about this cool thread.

Sunset at work. Taken with my 5C - best camera is the one with you. The window pull down shade acted as the lens filter... ;)

Beautiful sunset. Although I like B&W, colour also has its place. Here's a sunrise rather than a sunset. More abstract perhaps. Comments always appreciated.

I appreciate the kinds words, thank you. You don't need expensive gear to take quality photographs. It's hard to buy truly bad gear these days.
