Three beautiful shots and I have no idea what you think the processing problem is Ken...looks great to me.

Thanks Peter. It is a consistency thing. The pictures on Flickr haven't kept to a consistent feel across the series because I can't decide on a look. Frustrating... But I really appreciate your kind comments.

Thanks Hugh. I just feel like there should be some consistency... it is niggling me. The clouds were storm clouds so while not quite THAT blue, they were a blueish grey.

We walked round the castle as the sun was setting so the light was changing a lot depending on our position. Was great fun as it was a challenge to capture it. I tried bracketing a few shots, still need to work on that skill.

I like this image. Lovely colours and nice close up of the bee.

We went to visit my dad this past weekend and on the way home we stopped off at Bamburgh Castle up the coast in Northumberland. Unfortunately when we got there is was closed so we couldn't get inside and it was high tide so we were restricted on where we could get to but we had fantastic fun in the dunes and on the beach.

Really struggling to work out the best way to process the images. The light was wonderful and warm but my skills are lacking so they are not coming out the way I want. AAAARGH!!!

I actually quite like this photo. I have no issue with the processing... love the warm tones and moody sky.

Nice of them to say. They looked like they enjoyed Northumbria.

They loved the pic and Northumbria. Like I said we just take for granted what is on our doorstep and dont think that someone might like it. Never dawned on me that they might like to go see a castle doh!

Just don't take those kids for granted mate. It's terrible when they've grown up and gone (or just gone in my case).

And everyone loves a castle!

Taken on the day it was opened by Pres. Obama. A high security event as you would expect. I liked the long focal length effect on this.

Very nice. Never noticed before the individual shading of the stones in the Washington Monument before until seeing your picture. Went back and looked at a couple of pictures of mine and yep, there it was, though very faint. Interesting what B&W can do for a scene sometimes.
