Almost exactly a year ago, my wife and I were in a bad auto collision. We each underwent surgery to put metal support near a joint. This morning, my wife underwent a procedure to take some of it OUT. And here it is:

Taken with my iPhone 13 mini, with some massaging in macOS Photos.

Some of the best suggestions about the presence of the quarter:

—They had run out of medical plates
—When they went to the hardware store to buy the screws, that was the change
—My wife’s ankle is now coin operated

(This was posted with my wife’s permission)

For my NYC photos a Nikon F100. Tomorrow I am taking my Fujica Half Frame with me apple picking. I also have a Fujica STX-1, a Holga, and a Sprocket Rocket. 🙂
Thank you for your reply.
You've got some fine cameras there, some vintage🙂
I have an old Canon AE-1 from 1976, and I have thinking about to use it someday. It worked fine for 5 years ago so a small service and you are good to go.
I hope😁
Enjoy your weekend with apple picking, and your Fujica!

portra 400 (this actually isn't my favorite film but the only thing that is available right now....i miss my kodak gold)

33rd & 5th for those of you keeping score. 🙂
The choice between digital and film will always be an artistic choice. I recently upgraded my home theater system to 4k. Images are stunning, but I got the 4k DVD of Spielberg’s West Side Story and he shot the entire picture on Kodak 35mm motion picture negative stock. The choice made the film more realistic and more like the original. Stunning colors and ultra sharp images would have been out of place. I much prefer his new version with LatinX actors for the Puerto Rican parts.

You can see the Panaflex film reels on top. 35mm motion pictures are half frame compared to still cameras.

I'm an equal opportunity camera user. 🙂 I have three digital bodies currently. And I'll take one digital tomorrow to use in conjunction with my half frame.

My new external LG Gram View + monitors came this afternoon. Excuse the lousy cable management I just wanted to set them up to check they worked. In the background is my 93 year old father’s Brother Word Processor from 1995. I’ll be setting the monitors up properly over the weekend, for some reason they are set up differently.

Macbook Pro M1 16gb 1tb for those wondering what the computer is.

Continuing my "from behind" inspiracles series, I proudly present the stern view of the "MS Papenburg", a popular art installation in the city park of the German town with the same name. It displays the maritime heritage of the city and is - now I'm talking non-sarcastic again - an utter piece of crap. It's not a motor ship but a cheap plastic sailing dinghy that has probably been rotting in a backyard for ages. It is by no means maintained or aesthetically pleasant in any way. The glas pearl "sea" surrounding it is a joke compared to the otherwise promising, eco-friendly design of the park. I have no idea why it exists other than a person of political influence really insisted to have it there.
